I haven’t done a Weekly Eats post in quite a while! To tell you the truth, I have missed them. Since my holiday to Olu Deniz I have been eating what I want, with a lot of bread, some chocolate and a few cakes here and there. On the whole I have been trying to eat relatively healthy, but I haven’t been as mindful of it as I was before my holiday. Here are some of the ‘healthier’ meals I have had over the past few weeks. As you can see, there are a lot of store bought foods, rather than homemade. This was mostly due to laziness and as I wasn’t planning ahead, I relied a lot on grab & go food. This meant I was eating more sugar and salt than I had been previously and I have definitely noticed the difference in my body as a result!

Weekly Eats: What I eat in a week

Day 1: Porridge, almonds, chia seeds, banana. Wholemeal pitta and low fat hummus. LEON Superfood Chicken Salad. Roasted salmon, spinach salad. Day 2: Porridge, almonds, blueberries. Clif Bar. Chunky vegetable soup, seeded baguette. Pitta, spinach, cherry tomatoes, green pepper, hummus, feta. Day 3: Porridge, flaked almonds, honey, chia seeds. Graze almonds & raisins. Starbucks Chipotle Chicken and Brown Rice Salad. Tuna, spinach salad. Day 4: Porridge, strawberries, honey, chia seeds. Apple. Vegetable soup, wholemeal roll. Waitrose Middle Eastern Spiced Wild Rice Salad, mixed leaves. Day 5: Porridge, flaked almonds, honey, chia seeds. Graze Oatbakes. Wheatberry salad, falafel, mixed leaves. Tuna, tomatoes, spinach, wholemeal bread.

I went food shopping today after writing down my meal plan for the week. I am going back to eating clean as that is when I feel at my best. Right now I feel sluggish and bloated. Next week I’ll post all the clean meals that I eat this week and I’ll get back to posting my Weekly Eats every week! I’m really looking forward to getting healthier all over again after having this ‘break’. I’m feeling really motivated at the moment, I’m not sure if it’s because there is a new month around the corner or whether it’s because I’m getting myself more organised by planning ahead, but I can’t wait to eat clean again! Who’s going to join me??

I really enjoyed this post, great idea to keep a food photo diary to remind yourself of what you’ve been eating and whether or not it’s healthy. I keep seeing a lot of people eating chia seeds, I should look into buying some!!

Thanks! I find taking a picture so much easier than writing it down. Although writing your food down is great if you’re counting calories or watching your macros. Check out my post discovered chia seeds on the benefits of Chia Seeds xx
